Timing, visibility and excellent industry contacts are key for a small company willing to make the perfect entry into a thriving global industry like the international petfood market. The Interzoo Get Started Pavilion at the Petfood Forum in Kansas City (Missouri, USA) offered participating companies all three key factors at once. A turnkey solution to build upon.
For the first time, Interzoo-organiser WZF GmbH created an own pavilion at the Petfood Forum. The Interzoo Get Started Pavilion, organised in cooperation with WATT Global Media, supports innovative companies from the pet industry that aspire international expansion. Four companies presented their products in the Pavilion: madebymade (www.madebymade.eu) from Germany, Dry Food New Zealand (www.dryfoodnz.com) and Newflands (www.newflands.co.nz) each from New Zealand and Salvi Chemical Industries (www.salvichem.com) from India.
Petfood Forum, organised by WATT Global Media, is the largest pet food conference. The annual event is a meeting place for over 370 exhibitors and more than 3,500 delegates. Petfood Forum Europe, the biggest Petfood conference in European, will take place in Nuremberg the day prior to Interzoo on 6 May 2024. Preparations are in full swing for the world's leading exhibition for the pet industry, Interzoo, from 7 – 10 May 2024. Hereyou will find further information on registration.
Interzoo Get Started Pavilion convinces participants
Kai Hempel, Managing Director of madebymade, particularly praised the insight into market trends and the strong networking character of the event. For him, the Interzoo community stand was the perfect door opener to a promising market. "The partnership with Interzoo was very important for us, as we did not have any contacts in the US and Interzoo helped us significantly with the stand presentation and in making contacts," Hempel concluded after the three days of the forum.
For Leah Davey of Dry Food New Zealand, participating in the Interzoo Get Started Pavilion was a key experience in the company's future growth. „It’s always hard spending money, but this is money well spent because you’re getting in contact with the right audience. We’ll do it again and maybe do it bigger next time“, says Davey. She was particularly enthusiastic about the organisation of the turnkey stand and the high-quality contact opportunities: „We loved being part of the Interzoo Get Started Pavilion. The organisation was brilliant. We had a number of great conversation and we were able to generate quite a few leads. So we’re leaving buzzing of energy.“
Newflands CEO Fiona Robertson was also able to draw an extremely positive conclusion. „For smaller companies I’d highly recommend to be part of a collective environment like the Interzoo Get Started Pavilion. The support from Interzoo was amazing and we really felt a positive kickback with other start-ups at the stand“, says Robertson. Her homemade dog ice cream provided refreshment for many event visitors – and served as a welcome conversation starter for on-site networking. „It was surely worth the long trip for the education we got on the market and the contacts we were able to make. I’m positive it’s gona be amazing in the long term“, says Robertson, describing her expectations for a flourishing post-fair business.
Thus, it can be concluded that the Interzoo Get Started Pavilion convinced participants and visitors alike as an attractive package for market entry and expansion – also thanks to the reputation of the Interzoo brand.
