History & Success Story

Interzoo is the leading international trade fair for pet supplies. In 1950, the idea of holding a national trade show named “Zoobörse” was born at the annual meeting of the ZZF (German Pet Trade & Industry Association). Since 1968, the trade fair has been operating with an international focus under the name “Interzoo”.

The 39th Interzoo (12–15 May 2026) – the largest and most international Interzoo in its history – concluded with an impressive overall result. Around 2,400 exhibitors from approximately 70 countries and 39,000 trade visitors from more than 130 countries came to the exhibition grounds to learn about the industry’s innovations and key trends.
The Interzoo 2026 supporting programme, tailored to the trends of the pet industry, also reflected this development.
