From 29 to 31 October 2025, Interzoo will be represented with a stand (stand no. Q27) at the ‘Pet Fair South East Asia 2025’ trade fair in Bangkok, Thailand, where it will welcome all visitors. Dr Rowena Arzt, Head of Exhibitions at Interzoo organiser WZF GmbH – Pet Industry Services, will also give a specialist presentation on trends and developments in the European pet industry as part of the trade fair conference on Thursday, 30 October, starting at 2 p.m.
VNU Asia Pacific and Globus Events, organizers of Pet Fair South East Asia, expect around 450 exhibitors from 40 countries and approximately 12,500 trade visitors from over 80 countries. Products from the areas of pet food and snacks, healthcare, accessories and lifestyle, as well as technology and sustainability will be on display.
Rising market volume in Southeast Asia
According to the trade fair organizers, the market volume for pet food in Southeast Asia is estimated at around USD 2.53 billion in 2025. By 2030, it is expected to grow to USD 3.69 billion at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.85 per cent. The postbiotic pet food segment in the ASEAN region (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) is expected to grow from USD 290 million (2025) to USD 467.7 million (2035) (CAGR: 9.4 per cent). According to the trade fair organizer, the market for plant-based pet food will grow from USD 743 million (2025) to an estimated USD 2.53 billion (2035) – with a strong annual growth rate of 13 per cent. The market for pet supplements in the ASEAN region is expected to grow from USD 82.5 million (2025) to USD 257.2 million (2035) (CAGR: 12 per cent).
Thailand as a growth driver
According to the trade fair organizer, Thailand remains an important growth driver for the region and is seeing an increase in the pet population:
The Thai market volume in the pet sector is estimated at around 46 billion Baht (approx. USD 1.2 billion) in 2025. Products in the mid to upper price segment dominate the market, especially snacks and treats with an average growth rate of 16 per cent (2018–2023). Postbiotic and plant-based foods and supplements are particularly promising growth segments.
There are currently around 5.38 million pets in Thailand, an increase of 6 per cent compared to the previous year. The Thai dog and cat population, for example, grew by 19 per cent and 28 per cent respectively between 2021 and 2024.
