Fresh colours, animal motifs, a contemporary corporate typeface, and a subtle refinement of the well-known, iconic logo: The new Interzoo design embodies the dynamism and innovative strength of the world's leading trade fair for the pet industry, while underlining its high level of professionalism. The clear, modern look also won over the German Design Award jury, whose assessment further praised the redesign's excellent digital suitability and international appeal.

International applicability and a visual and formal language immediately understood across all cultures were indeed of central importance to the Interzoo design team. After all, Interzoo is the world's most important and largest B2B trade fair and meeting point for decision-makers as well as innovators in the pet industry. At the 39th edition, held from 12 to 15 May 2026, we welcomed exhibitors and visitors from over 130 countries – a record figure that highlights just how complex the design task truly was.

Interzoo is a Lovebrand of the International Pet Industry

The redesign had already been rolled out in communications and marketing activities ahead of the trade fair and reached its full potential at the event in Nuremberg. From the large-scale car park banner to the entrance areas, staircases and halls, the harmonious branding across the entire exhibition grounds reflected the openness and modernity of the pet industry, creating a high-quality setting for the presentations of our roughly 2,400 exhibitors, whose innovations attracted over 39,000 international visitors.

The new design also strengthened the sense of community among trade fair participants, who happily identified with the new look of their world-leading trade fair. No matter which of the 15 halls you visited, the Interzoo brand was experienced with all the senses in May 2026. Installations featuring large Interzoo animal silhouettes became popular photo spots for exhibitors and visitors from around the world. People from seven continents hummed along to the new Interzoo song and enjoyed the new Interzoo fan shop, offering Interzoo merchandise for every sense — to touch, wear and taste.

Lutz Diepold, Managing Director of the German Design Council, explained in an interview with the magazine “Page” that brands can create memorable experiences and build entire communities. Interzoo 2026 impressively demonstrated what this looks like in practice. It is a trade fair by the industry, for the industry. And it offers the international pet family an appealing and welcoming home.
