The prize sponsored by Interzoo in the award category ‘Most promising new starter business’ recognises innovations and special achievements by start-ups in the pet industry and was presented on 29 September at the British trade fair for pets and aquatics, PATS, in Birmingham. This year's gold start-up award went to the company LitPet Supplement. The silver trophy went to AniVatio, and It's the Dogs (a sub-brand of The Protein Ball Co.) was awarded ‘Highly commended’.
By sponsoring the PetQuip Awards, Interzoo, as the international marketplace for the pet industry, is underlining its traditional commitment to promoting innovative concepts and fresh ideas in order to continually revitalise and advance the industry worldwide. It supports the trade fair presence of start-ups and young companies at the upcoming Interzoo 2026 with special offers, exhibition stand space and stage formats.
"Interzoo sees itself as an opportunity provider, enabling global attention for the ideas of innovators. At Interzoo in particular, newcomers have the opportunity to meet the world's most important players and decision-makers in the pet industry in person within a short period of time and set the course for their future business success," explains Dr Rowena Arzt, Head of Exhibitions at Interzoo organiser WZF GmbH – Pet Industry Services.
Interzoo and PetQuip
Interzoo can look back on a long-standing partnership with the British trade association PetQuip. The British Interzoo country pavilion was the first international joint stand at the trade fair in 1964 and has now been organized by PetQuip for many years. At the last Interzoo in May 2024, 47 companies presented themselves in the British Pavilion.
