OUR HISTORY

Our history begins in 1950, with the birth of Mr. Paulo Roberto Jovenato in the city of Ribeirão Preto. As a boy, he collected ornamental fish from small rivers around his hometown and sold them to the few aquarium stores that existed at the time. With an innovative and entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, he acquired a farm where he began growing ornamental plants for aquariums. As his business expanded, he developed a structure for breeding ornamental fish.

Recognizing the need to meet market demand and improve his own production, Mr. Paulo, a self-taught entrepreneur, designed and built equipment to manufacture flake feed for ornamental fish. In the late 1990s, he officially established his small factory under the trade name NUTRIPEIXE.
