About us

The roots of Interquell, our Bavarian family-owned company, stretch back to 1765. It all began in the 18th century with a grain mill on the River Singold in Wehringen. The ground-breaking innovation came in the 1950s when a brand-new technology and suitable machinery allowed the production of cereal flakes which, when combined with dried meat, resulted in the first complete dry dog food. And so the Happy Dog brand came about in 1969. Our recipes, ingredients and additives have been refined time and again over the years to take account of advances in scientific knowledge.The experience and expertise thus gained led to the birth of the Happy Cat brand in 2002.

Today we have two in-house laboratories, a large team of vets and apply strict quality standards. So we can be sure that dogs and cats really do receive only the very best. Every day. The company Interquell has now been run by the Müller family for seven generations. The coveted products from the two brands have made their way from Wehringen out into the rest of the world. So Happy Dog and Happy Cat are now available not just in Germany, but also in other Western European countries, most of Eastern Europe and in some countries in Asia, Africa and South America.

As the spearhead and pioneer of healthy pet food, our Goood dog food brand was born in 2018. Our Goood pet food is based on the most natural ingredients possible and exclusive use of meat from happy animals from high welfare free-range farms or fish from sustainable fisheries. Quality from Nature, animal welfare and sustainability are our most important values. From field to bowl. We make sure that our high-quality pet food is not produced at the expense of the environment, animal welfare or the planet. For this reason, Goood supports a number of non-profit projects together with you and your four-legged friend. We continue to develop ourselves and constantly strive to improve.
