The Thuringian Forest Nature Park is characterized by wonderfully colorful mountain meadows with a very high proportion of natural herbs. More than 10 years ago, farmer Heinrich Meusel, known as Heu-Heinrich, set himself the task of managing these valuable and species-rich mountain meadows in order to preserve this species-rich cultural landscape and to produce very high-quality feed.

The organic herb hay from HEU-HEINRICH ® is rich in fibre and fibre and an absolute must for the daily feed supply of rodents! The very high proportion of herbs and crude fibre content is particularly health-promoting and a pleasure for every rodent. The second basis for the top quality of the organic herb hay is the drying directly on the certified organic mountain meadows.

After natural drying, the loose hay finds its way into the newly built and state-of-the-art drying plant, where it is brought to a climate-friendly and residual fencing level of less than 15%. The new packaging system makes it possible to pack small containers from 0.75 – 1 kg or large containers from 4 – 8 kg.
