Litter for small domestic animals such as cats, rabbits, hamsters, etc. has now become part of everyday use and involves around 40% of the population that owns a pet. But despite its undoubted advantages in terms of hygiene and practicality, it also creates enormous environmental problems due to the difficulty and cost of disposing of traditional litter.
