- Halle 2 / Standnummer 2-412a
- The adult body is a vibrant yellowish-tan or brown-orange, covered in 7 to 8 striking, horizontal electric blue lines that converge toward the base of the tail. The large dorsal and anal fins are darker and feature thicker blue lines that can create maze-like or arabesque patterns. The tail (caudal fin) is a luminous, bright yellow.
- It is an omnivore that relies heavily on benthic invertebrates. Its primary diet consists of sponges, tunicates (sea squirts), and filamentous marine algae.
- Usually observed swimming solitarily, in pairs, or in small groups (often a male with one or two females). When feeling threatened or during courtship, males will flare their large fins to suddenly increase their perceived size and display their intricate blue patterns.
Produkt Information
Chaetodontoplus features a bright yellowish-brown to golden base coloration, with fine blue longitudinal stripes across the body and a vivid yellow caudal fin. Its striking appearance makes it highly favored in the aquarium market. Our unit has successfully established artificial breeding and mass production techniques, enabling cultured production to replace wild collection, thereby reducing harvesting pressure and demonstrating the potential for sustainable development in the ornamental aquaculture industry.
