The result everyone had been hoping for came to fruition. Most exhibitors and visitors would probably rate the past three days at Interzoo a full success. The exhibitors will, of course, scrutinise the figures afterwards – because contacts made and deals concluded are the metrics of any trade fair. But not the only ones. Comments made on the ground suggest that Interzoo was a top event again that everyone wanted. leading trade fair is on the home stretch. Markus Wagner and his Wagner Pet Products Group have been exhibiting at Interzoo since 1998. On Thursday, he expressed his delight at how well things had gone until that point. “My expectations have already been surpassed,” said Wagner. Around 85 percent of his key customers had already dropped by. He reports that new customers, who had already placed orders, came too. Markus Wagner thinks it’s “fantastic” that Interzoo is now also taking full advantage of digitalisation in the shape of the new app for instance. Digitalisation is an equally crucial issue for WZF/ZZF director Gordon Bonnet. “We want to set the pace,” he remarked. But Bonnet also emphasised that the digital element could never fully replace the human one. He explained that new technology was good for networking, but trust was only possible if people met in person. Bonnet said that “people need other people” and that the feedback from exhibitors and visitors was consistently positive.
