FKM-certified Interzoo: Verified trade fair figures provide confidence
The Interzoo figures regularly certified by FKM, the Society for the Voluntary Control of Fair and Exhibition Statistics, confirm the status of Interzoo as the world's leading fair for the pet supplies industry. At the last Interzoo, the 38,656 trade visitors from 126 countries learned about the pet food and grooming products, accessories and services offered by the 1,990 exhibitors from 66 countries in a display area measuring 120,000 square metres. These and other data are provided in the Show Report, which is available online. The results it contains are based on the visitor and exhibitor poll and electronic visitor registration and are checked and certified by FKM in collaboration with a reputable auditing firm. Dr Rowena Arzt, Director Exhibitions at Interzoo Organizer WZF (Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe GmbH), explains:
„The FKM data are objective, trustworthy, and comparable. Because the figures for Interzoo are verified, all trade fair participants have the necessary transparency and can plan their participation in the event and the associated investments with confidence. Moreover, Interzoo is recognised as a ‘UFI Approved International Event’ by the UFI – the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry.”
According to WZF, the disclosure of verified and certified trade fair data is by no means a given for many trade fair organizers; rather, it is a voluntary process. In Germany, for example, only about half of the roughly 100 trade fair organizers are verified by FKM every year.
