VETERINARY MEDICINAL PRODUCTS

Veterinary medicinal products are the company's core business. Teknofarma is the marketing authorization holder of a high number of veterinary medicinal products belonging to several pharmacological classes: anthelmintics, ectoparasiticides for external use, diuretics/cardiological drugs, multivitamins, dermatological medications, urinary acidifiers, otologicals.

All products are designed, developed and formulated in-house. All manufacturing operations are carried out according to international quality standards - in compliancewith cGMP regulations - in dedicated departments equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology.

COMPLEMENTARY FEED

Teknofarma holds the authorization to produce and package complementary feed and premixtures for companion animals.

All the products in our range are the property of Teknofarma and include:

• tablets in blister packs or pill bottles
• powders
• liquids (solutions and suspensions) in bottles.

All products are designed, developed and formulated in-house by Teknofarma. Formulations are manufactured and packaged in a new dedicated unit created in 2018 to meet the growing demands of a rapidly expanding market. Equipped with pharmaceutical-grade finishes, the unit features state-of-the-art equipments.

QUALITY

The development and manufacturing of Teknofarma products follow the quality standards of the pharmaceutical industry and are compliant with the regulations that apply to each specific type of product.

The Company operates in accordance with international quality criteria defined bythe following standards:

• GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), a set of principles and rules that regulate the production of medicinal products and establish the technical and methodological criteria required to ensure the quality of the manufactured product
• ISO 9001:2015, a globally recognized standard for quality management, regarding the production and packaging of veterinary medicinal products and third-party distribution activities
• HACCP and GMP+, for complementary feed. In 2021 Teknofarma obtained the GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance certification (Production of Compound Feeds (pet food)), an internationally recognized standard specific to pet food. This standard, designed specifically for the manufacturing and marketing of pet food, aims to ensure the safety and quality of pet food products (complete and complementary feeds) through shared rules to be applied to the entire production process, from the selection of raw materials to finished products.
