It’s a great idea to start with small questions.

Can dogs do something positive for the planet?

A companion dog likes to bring back the ball that a human throws. In the same way, millions of dogs could help bring back a better world. Why not? This thought was the inspiration for the German company Eat Small - Insect for pets, founded in 2017 by Canadian veterinarian Véronique Glorieux and Spanish designer Gema Aparicio.

Today, the Berlin-based company offers dog owners a full range of dry and wet foods and snacks based exclusively on insects as a source of sustainable and nutritious animal protein.

Our philosophy

Health
A high-quality, nutritious diet is the foundation of a healthy life – whether two- or four-legged. For us, the health of your dog always comes first in the development of our dog food & snacks. All our products are suitable for healthy dogs as well as for dogs with allergies or food intolerances.

Sustainability
Unfortunately, the production of meat proteins is increasingly harmful to the environment due to factory farming and overfishing. In insects we have found a sustainable alternative that provides equally high-quality proteins, but consumes significantly fewer resources.

Taste
We all want to spoil our dogs. That's why our products must not only be nutritious and sustainable, but also absolutely delicious. After all, the best dog food is no use if a dog doesn't like to eat it!
