In 2022 Interpet is proud to celebrate 70 years of business. Successfully establishing market leading in-house aquatic and pet brands, including Mikki, PetLove, Aquagarden and Interpet publishing, as well as representing its parent company brands of Nylabone, Kaytee and Four Paws across Europe and around the world.

Founded in the UK in 1952 by Dr Neville Carrington, a British chemist who entered the business world through his love of fish keeping; Interpet started with the manufacture of aquarium products and has grown over the years through product innovation, brand development and acquisition to become the broader pet company it is today.

In 2004 Interpet was acquired by the US giant, Central Garden and Pet who recognised the opportunity to offer Interpet’s innovative approach and products to the US market. Interpet’s strong relationships in the UK and links across Europe also provided great potential to grow the distribution of Central’s own US pet brands in new markets.

Today, Interpet develops, manufactures, and partners with selected vendors for the Mikki, PetLove, Aquagarden and Interpet publishing brands to offer a quality range of products and books for dogs, cats, birds and small animals, as well as water gardening. It is proud to be the headquarters for Central’s export activity into Europe and the rest of the world with a team of sales people on the ground in the UK and Europe selling the Nylabone, Kaytee and Four Paws brands alongside Interpet’s own brands.
