Our Native Potato Starch is a nutritious, non-GMO carbohydrate source, obtained during the cold slicing process of food-grade potatoes. The native starch is collected from the process water after washing fresh potato slices, after which it is dried and milled into a powder. The final result is an off-white to light-brown, free-flowing powder with a typical potato smell and taste.
Native Potato Starch is excellently suitable as nutritional and functional ingredient pet food applications. This ingredient contains a low percentage of gelatinized starch giving it good expansion and extrusion characteristics.
