Our scalded beef head mask is frozen fresh. It is ideal for the production of delicious chews. We offer two different versions of beef scalp.

Beef mask “Special” is from white bull scalp only.
A-type beef masks is from black and white animals.

The beef head mask is plate frozen and delivered to you in frozen blocks. Each block is 50 x 50 x 10 cm in size and weighs approximately 18–20 kg. A layer of foil is inserted between each block to simplify the removal of individual blocks. 40 blocks are packed on each non-returnable wooden pallet (100 x 100 cm).

CDS has been a family-run company for 50 years. It is now being managed by the second generation and its business divisions cover natural casings, special meat cuts and offal and frozen food services.

The company employs 280 people in Crailsheim on a site occupying 40,000 square metres. These employees generate a turnover of over 80 million euros.

CDS is a market leader in terms of quality and innovation, continuing the Hackner tradition. From the outset, the company has been setting standards, particularly when it comes to natural casings.

Whether with the “SilberPfeil” pipe, which makes filling the sausage significantly easier and more efficient, or with the sensational development known as “SilberPfeil NonStop”, the world’s first welded hog casing. The company is currently wowing the industry with another world first: a pipe with a flexible, bendable end piece – with no loose parts.

When it comes to special meat cuts and offal, the company has dedicated itself to the so-called fifth quarter. Products that no longer make it onto the plate in Germany are considered delicacies in other parts of the world. This approach is also backed up by our “Mission Meat” philosophy: our responsibility for sustainable, careful processing and premium quality food products.

As a supplier of raw goods and high-quality food-grade meat cuts and offal specialities, CDS is also a sought-after partner to the pet food industry. And since 2014 the company has also been manufacturing Graf Barf raw food for dogs, which is once again setting new standards on the market with various raw food cubes made from whole pieces of beef, chicken and lamb and seven menu options.

The third pillar of the business covers frozen food services. As a system partner, the Hackners also offer a special advantage in this segment: individual customer requirements are met in the form of “solutions for efficient cold chain logistics”. CDS offers individual packaging options and can reliably freeze products and thaw them to the desired temperature, all accompanied by computer-controlled processes.
