The key product of HUGRO^® GmbH, with which everything started 40 years ago, is the natural hemp litter.

HUGRO^® natural bedding is made from the inner core of the hemp plant stemfibers. As to actual european Testing Guidelines NF EN 13041 HUGRO^® natural bedding occupies the 1st place among the common natural beddings. HUGRO® natural bedding has 1,5 times more absorbency than flax bedding und twice as much than wood shavings. So HUGRO® natural bedding occupies the 1. place in the ammoniac binding.

The HUGRO^® natural litter is available in 4 sizes: The 10l, 30l and 100l and with the natural litter++ also 1.5 kilo.

For 40 years (founded 1982) company Hugro^® GmbH based in Saerbeck (near Münster) stands for the natural keeping and care for small animals.

The product range includes besides the well-known Hemp Bedding also Cotton Bedding, Flax Bedding, „Back to Life” (made from recycled paper) and Coconut Bedding.
The well-known „Nagerfloor” mat as ideal base for the bedding material. Nagertraum^® products – constantly revised and supplemented – include nearly 60 high-quality, dried herbs, flowers, leaves, proteins and mixtures. These products are packed by hand in the Saerbeck warehouse and are sold in national and international markets. The product range is constantly expanded with various nibbling products.

A specialty is that Günter Leugers, the managing director of Hugro GmbH developed himself for bird-owners the sort „GL Canary Food 18 seeds” as well as the mixtures „GL Flower Bud Mix I”, „GL Flower Bud Mix II”, „GL Herb Mix I” and „GL Herb Mix II“ under the lable „BirdCare Hugro“. More than 55 years experience in bird keeping and -breeding allows him to design these special feed. The product range for bird products also includes further complete feed mixtures, complementary feed as well as accessories.
„Terra Hugro” is another part of the product range where terrarium animal owner find a wide selection of products for their reptiles.

With our new product line “ExoticNature” we offer exclusive accessories for cages and aviaries. Houses, tunnels, tubes, nesting caves, etc. made from bamboo, mahogany, durian and palmtree wood – of certified wood from sustainable forestry.
These special accessories for hamsters, guinea pigs and other rodents, also for reptiles and birds, give a luxurious and harmonious look.

Another addition to the wide product range is the high-qualit hemp oil – „Cat&Dog-Dressing^®”, Hemp-Power-Sticks for dogs as well as the odor absorber for cat litter boxes „SmellzOff”.
