Our company SCHEGO Schemel & Goetz Elektrogerätebau in Offenbach am Main was founded by Fritz Schemel and Kurt Goetz in 1949.

Initially, the company focused solely on making products for aquariums and SCHEGO soon ranked among the leading manufacturers of aquarium heaters and air pumps.

Over the years, our products still made in Offenbach came to be used not only in aquariums but also in a variety of other fields, especially in connection with medical, bio-medical and hospital equipment and for instrumentation and control applications. Moreover, we have expanded the range of products for garden ponds continuously over the recent years.

Thanks for our many years of experience and specialisation in the field of membrane pumps and heating and control technology, modifications to existing solutions in accordance with project-specific requirements rank among the special strengths of our customer-oriented service.

The use of high-grade materials and adherence to exacting production standards guarantee that SCHEGO products are always of the highest quality – exactly as expected from products ‘Made in Germany’ – a fact that is particularly important for foreign sales with 50 % of our company’s production being exported to countries around the world.

We set a particularly high value on sustainability. All the components of our durable products are available as spare parts always and for decades.

Continuity is also ensured by the SCHEGO management. Dirk Richter, Fritz Schemel’s grandson, is now running the family company in the third generation.
