Faced with the ineluctable lack of protein in the coming years, the importance taken by intensive breeding and its negative impact on the planet, as carnivores, we have started to reduce our own meat consumption.
As pet parents too, we are in demand for more responsible pet food solutions.
Based in France, co-founded by pet and nature lovers covering above 20 years of experience within the petcare space, KOOKAPI is embracing the ethos-of-slowing down and cherishing relationships with our pets.
Aligned with our mission statement - reconcile animal welllbeing with sustainibility -KOOKAPI’s big ambition is to combine the highest quality in nutrition with the lowest impact on environment.
Our food is filled with novel proteins that cover plant-, insect- and algae-based diets. We know this approach is original and fresh in the petfood landscape, but acting like an agent provocateur is not an issue for us as long as it benefits pets & vets, parents & the planet altogether.
Because our role as a brand should go beyond pet food, on top of nutrition, we donate 1% of our total sales to support animal welfare initiatives.
