Ÿnsect is the world leader in the natural production of insect protein and fertilizers. Founded in 2011 in Paris by scientists and environmental activists, the B-Corp certified company transforms insects into premium, high-value ingredients to feed animals, fish, plants and soon, humans.
Ÿnsect offers an ecological, healthy and sustainable solution to meet the growing global demand for protein. Ÿnsect uses disruptive technology protected by 341 patents from 38 families, to raise its Molitor and Buffalo mealworms in vertical farms, creating overall carbon-negative value chains.

Our premium products are suitable for the nutrition of dogs and cats, but also for rodents, birds, reptiles, etc.
LOCATIONS
Ÿnsect operates two production sites, one in France (since 2016), one in the Netherlands (since 2017) and is currently building a third unit, the world’s largest vertical farm, in Amiens (Somme, France). The company, which employs 250 people, has raised around USD 425 million from recognized investment funds, banks and public institutions, and exports its products worldwide.
