Life in the aquarium is inconceivable without oxygen. Apart from further prerequisites such as heat and light, Schego membrane pumps contribute decisively to an aquarium becoming a habitat. Air is life.

Oxygen is vitally necessary for fish and primitive sea species in the aquarium, for they have no CO2 respiration. Leading experts also recommend oxygen as remedy for the regeneration of diseased fish. Nevertheless, pure oxygen should not be provided as this can act toxically. Schego offers membrane pumps for aeration or use in filter systems and protein skimmers. This guarantees keeping the animals in a species-appropriate environment in the aquarium.

Garden pond aerator GTD 250

Air is life – this also applies for your garden pond, both in summer and in winter!

Oxygen is vital for life in the garden pond and indispensable so that fish can breathe. In summer during hot periods an oxygen deficiency can arise very quickly in still waters, since the oxygen is consumed in the decomposition of dead plants. But even in winter this process continues under the ice surface. The oxygen is required by bacteria for decomposing plants. If the oxygen concentration becomes too low, these bacteria die and other micro-organisms take over the further decomposition. However, these micro-organisms release toxins, to the detriment of water animals and plants.

The vitally required oxygen is introduced into your garden pond with the Schego garden pond aerator. The appliance operates with 12 V and is connected via a safety transformer. It can be used outside, and 10 m cable and 10 m hose permit individual location.

Air for life – everywhere

Schego pumps for battery connection enable a supply of oxygen where no mains power is available.

These pumps have been developed for fish and live foods transport. Fish suffer from lack of oxygen during long lasting transports, especially in the summer months, so that the tanks must be aerated. Connecting the air pump to the car battery or to the cigarette lighter is suitable in this case. Therefore the approved 12 V pumps are available with a mounted car battery plug.
In recent years power supply by means of solar cells, especially in the leisure area, has become increasingly popular. Schego pumps in combination with solar cells are very well suited for this application and have proved their worth.

Rely on a safe connection: Heaters and thermostat

The Schego heaters are made of high-quality titanium tube, therefore they are unbreakable and sea water-proof. All heating elements are grounded and guarantee a high safety standard. Their power range extends from 50 to 600 W.

Whenever a certain temperature should be reached and maintained the Schego thermostat TRD is applied. It can be loaded up to 1000 W and because of its simple handling is ideal both for the hobby aquarium owner and for the professional user. Its digital display shows the actual temperature, the measuring range extends from 5 °C to 50 °C . Simply connect the heating element to the socket of the controller and set the required temperature on the LED display. The operational logic prevents accidental readjusting of the target temperature. The actual temperature in the liquid is measured using a temperature probe (5 V). Indexing accuracy can be chosen from 0.5 °C to 9.9 °C in steps of 0.1 °C.
