yummeez & yummeez solo – the cereal-free training bones

yummeez are THE alternative for nutritionally sensitive dogs when it comes to training treats. Because our yummeez are free from cereals, have no added sugar and a high content of animal ingredients.

The starch basis for both yummeez product lines is potato and tapioca. This ensures the good consistency and convenient handling that training treats must have. After all, we don’t want the treats to crumble in your pocket.

yummeez solo – one protein and no cereals

There is another important feature that makes up our yummeez solo: the recipe contains only one animal protein source. Single-protein recipes are natural because the prey of dogs also consists only of the protein of one animal species. yummeez solo is available in four flavours that you rarely find as single-origin: rabbit, trout, duck and insect protein.

Dog-appropriate recipes and high-quality raw materials make yummeez & yummeez solo extra wholesome and so tasty. yummeez – dogs love them!

Insect-proteins in animal food?

In actual fact, insects as pet food are no longer pie in the sky. Many manufacturers are already relying on this previously rather unknown animal source of protein. Even if it makes you shudder initially, it is everything but nasty: in fact, insects are innovative, sustainable and of high biological significance when it comes to the sustenance of our four-legged friends.

The larvae of the black soldier fly are often used for the processing of animal food but actually also for human food and pharmaceuticals. The black soldier fly (unlike the common housefly) eats only during the larval stage. These are ideal conditions for hygienic and controllable breeding. This is done on a soft, humus-like substrate. The black soldier fly larvae are for instance fed with fruit and vegetables that did not make it into the supermarket: cucumbers that are too crooked, bananas that are not crooked enough or broken carrots. In all, the breeding of black soldier fly larvae is very environment and resource-sparing, the carbon footprint far outshines that of conventional meats. High nutritional value with a small ecological footprint – pure sustainability!

But the ecological aspect is not the only thing that makes black soldier fly larvae valuable ingredients of feedstuff. Especially our allergic four-legged friends benefit from such innovative sources of protein: the body does not know insect protein fare yet, so an allergic reaction is unlikely.

Insect protein is also distinguished by a balanced protein composition. Its digestibility is in no way inferior to high-quality fish proteins.
