friGERA was founded as a family business in 1987. Since then the company has become well known throughout Europe. Its initial goal was to improve the health and welfare of our four-legged friends. We continue to attach great importance to providing affordable products and maintaining our quality standards.
“As our work is driven by our love for animals, we pay particular attention to optimum quality, specially selected raw materials and careful manufacturing. Because of our experience, we know what really matters. At the same time, we give priority to our customers, as we are only happy if our customers are satisfied.”
THERE IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR QUALITY
Every friGERA product comes with a quality guarantee for the consumer. This is confirmed by our many satisfied customers.
When making our products, we only use materials from EU slaughterhouses, which are also suitable for human consumption. In addition, 100% of our raw materials come from healthy animals that have been tested by vets. Our quality standards are confirmed by ISO, IFS and BIO certification. They are also approved and tested by vets (Approval No. PET001/ BE 101267 for Belgium).
We never compromise when it comes to the safety and quality of our products. We therefore consider it vital that we comply with all legislation and regulations. It goes without saying that we share our commitment to product safety and quality with our employees. They embrace this challenge every day, which means setting their own targets and assuming personal responsibility.
EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL
Our packing process is not simply a matter of putting products into bags. It is also the final stage in our quality assurance strategy. Almost all our products are packed by hand – as our trained employees are the most important part of our quality control process. This enables us to eliminate almost all defects, such as foreign bodies, quality issues and incorrect orders. All the packaging materials that we use are fully approved for the food industry.
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS THROUGHOUT
The most important factors for product storage are hygiene, temperature, humidity and shelf life, which significantly influence the quality of the relevant products. This is why clean and cool storage is our highest priority.
Our air-conditioned storage facilities enable us to prevent any contamination by vermin or microorganisms. When handling fresh meat products, it is especially important that we ensure a continuous cold chain and that products are kept at a minimum temperature of -18 °C in the cold storage facility. All processes at our warehouse are controlled using our IT system.
KEEPING OUR PROMISES
Our success is - and always will be - based on quality. In order to guarantee our quality standards at all times, we continuously monitor the entire process. We obtain fresh ingredients direct from the slaughterhouse and they are immediately processed after delivery. Further processing takes place at our hightechnology manufacturing facilities, where we dry and package our products to a high standard. The finished products are then delivered direct to our customers. As part of our manufacturing process, we work in partnership with the food safety and hygiene laboratory, veterinary inspection offices and other safety authorities.
THE ADVANTAGES OF TECHNOLOGY
Cutting-edge technologies and innovative manufacturing processes enable us to dispense with chemical additives and preservatives during the drying process. In addition, state-of-the-art systems have made it possible for us to reduce drying time by 50%. The drying process is continuously monitored by recording temperature, air humidity and pressure. This results in high quality natural products. Freshness without compromise Having the latest equipment enables us to process fresh meat to the highest standards. We consider compliance with hygiene standards and a continuous cold chain crucial when processing fresh meat.
