The level of registrations for Interzoo six months before the start is good. More than 1,100 manufacturers have made sure of their place in the Nürnberg exhibition halls and will present their extensive range of pet food and accessories, care products, garden articles, equestrian sports articles and services from 13–16 May 2010. It is already apparent that the pet industry’s world-leading exhibition with its high degree of internationality can impress again in 2010.
“All the industry’s major players will meet at Interzoo. 77 per cent of the companies registered so far come from abroad. Also encouraging is the steady 15 per cent share of companies exhibiting at Interzoo for the first time,” says Klaus Oechsner, President of the German Pet Trade & Industry Association (ZZF), the honorary sponsor of the exhibition. Companies such as Nestlé Purina, Procter&Gamble Pet Care, Vitakraft, Tetra, Karlie, Hagen, JBL, Europet Bernina, flexi-Bogdahn, Gimborn, sera, Trixie, Flamingo, Royal Canin, Beaphar, ferplast and many more present their products on large stands. Various countries, including China, the USA, Great Britain and Brazil, also show their products in pavilions. Interzoo 2010 is attracting new exhibitors mainly from abroad, with significant increases from Asia, particularly from China and India. In Europe, the exhibition has acquired more exhibitors especially from France, the Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland and Spain. New advertising options for exhibitors Both large and small exhibiting companies should prepare and advertise their presence at the exhibition at an early stage. “Companies only attract attention at a world-leading exhibition if they highlight their distinctiveness and innovative power. To make sure visitors find them, we advise exhibitors to plan an attractive stand and emphasize their core competence and innovations in their advertising early on,” explains Hans-Jochen Büngener, Chairman of the Interzoo Exhibition Committee. The exhibition promoter Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe GmbH (WZF) helps exhibitors to advertise their presence with a Service CD, which contains a clearly arranged list of all exhibition services from stand construction, logistics and catalogue entries to planning a stand party. An alternative to the Service CD is the Online Service Center (OSC) on the Internet, which can also be used for placing orders ( www.interzoo.com/onlineshop). In addition, companies at Interzoo 2010 can book online banners on virtually all subpages of the exhibition website at www.interzoo.com and company or trademark logos in the online exhibition catalogue. Exhibitors also have the possibility of advertising in the entrance or service areas with BannerUps, floor posters or illuminated CityLight showcases. Another advertising option is the international exhibition newspaper “Interzoo aktuell”, which at Interzoo 2010 will be published for the first time in three issues – on the first, third and last day. Each issue will again have a circulation of 10,000 copies. The newspaper will be available early in the breakfast rooms of hotels, so that Interzoo visitors can update on the news at Interzoo. “Interzoo aktuell” will also be available at the entrances to the exhibition and at Nuremberg airport and main rail station. New: Product Presentations An exhibitors forum at the heart of the exhibition is planned as a new feature for Interzoo 2010. Here exhibitors can present their products and services to visitors in approx. 15-minute lectures. The forum programme is to be published on the Internet and in the free Exhibition Guide. Revised Interzoo newsletter The Interzoo e-mail newsletter has been revised and is now also published in the Interzoo-free years. “Interzoo news” provides information on current offers, events, figures and market assessments, and helps visitors and exhibitors to prepare for the exhibition. Anyone interested can subscribe free on the Interzoo website. Interzoo, the world’s biggest pet supplies exhibition, is aimed at buyers from the trade, veterinarians, pet boarding houses, pet grooming saloons and official agencies. More than 37,000 trade visitors from 114 countries came to Nürnberg for Interzoo in 2008, including the top buyers from the large trading companies in Germany and abroad. The promoter of Interzoo is Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe GmbH (WZF), which has appointed NürnbergMesse GmbH for the organization of the exhibition.
